陈以龙博士履历

陈以龙于1984年获美国华盛顿大学系统控制博士学位并加入美国通用汽车公司在底特律的研究开发中心。陈以龙博士是世界上将机器人及CAD应用于概念车设计的先驱。他并是开拓通用汽车公司在华业务的先驱之一。1995至1998年期间,作为通用汽车中国公司首席科学家兼技术开发及协作总监,他曾分别在北京和上海建立并领导通用/德尔福-清华汽车系统研究院以及通用汽车-上海交大技术研究院。他为通用汽车发起并管理与中国合作伙伴的技术协作。他还与中国国家自然科学基金会共同发起并管理通用汽车中国科技奖。自1999年回美后,陈博士参与管理与日本汽车业的技术合作。 他曾荣获通用汽车总裁奖,该奖项仅授予通用汽车中表现最杰出的成员 (“Best of the Best”)。作为通用汽车研发中心主任研究员(Technical Fellow),他并主持了在机器人控制、无线射频标签及供应链质量等领域的研究开发。他并因此被授予通用汽车 McCuen 奖,该奖项表彰为通用汽车公司作出重大技术贡献并产生巨大经济效益的技术人才。鉴于其杰出的技术贡献,1999年陈博士当选为 IEEE Fellow(国际电气及电子工程师协会院士)。作为通用汽车研究开发中心主管的资深助理,他还协助计划、并协调管理通用汽车研究开发项目,特别是探索性创新研究项目。 陈以龙博士于2006年加入美国汽车工业行动集团并被任命为亚太区总监兼驻中国首席代表。他发展了与中国政府、汽车工业及相关机构的合作关系,推进汽车供应链标准及美国汽车业在华的汽车零部件进出口采购及供应商开发。

Dr. Yilong Chen Biography

Yilong Chen received his Ph.D. degree in System and Control from Washington University, St. Louis, USA in 1984 and joined General Motors R&D Center in Detroit. Dr. Chen was the pioneer of using robotics and CAD for concept car design in the world. From 1995 to 1998, he was also one of the pioneers in developing GM’s business in China. As the Chief Scientist and Director of Technology Development and Partnership of GM’s China Operations, he established and managed GM/Delphi-Tsinghua Technology Institute in Beijing and GM-Shanghai Jiaotong Powertrain Technology Institute in Shanghai. He initiated and managed technology collaborations with Chinese partners for GM. He also launched and managed the GM China Science & Technology award program with the Natural Science Foundation of China. After he went back to US in 1999, Dr. Chen developed and managed technical collaboration with GM’s alliances in Japan. Dr. Chen received the GM President Council honor, which recognizes employees who represent the “Best of the Best” in terms of performance at all levels throughout GM. As a GM technical fellow, he led research in the areas of robotics, RFID and supply chain quality in GM Tech Center. He also received the GM McCuen Award, which provides recognition for extraordinary technical accomplishments and their economic impact to the company. Because of his outstanding technical contributions, Dr. Chen was elected an IEEE Fellow in 1999. As a Senior Assistant to the head of GM R&D Center, Dr. Chen also assisted in planning, coordinating and managing GM R&D projects, especially for exploratory/ innovative research. Dr. Chen joined AIAG in 2006. Since then, as the General Director of Asia Pacific Affairs and Chief Representative in China of AIAG, Dr. Chen has developed extensive relation and collaboration with Chinese government, organizations and automotive industry, and promoted auto supply chain standard and assisted AIAG’s member companies auto part import/export, sourcing and supplier development in China .
